About Dawson Cassinelli
Dawson has had a passion for firearms for as long as he can remember, when Dawson was 5 years old he would run around with his toy revolvers practicing his draw while yelling: "Mom watch this. Was that fast?! I want to have the fastest draw in the west"
Dawson's wife, Bailey, has said that not much has changed. He still runs around practicing his draw and asks me often to "Watch this. Could I be faster? How'd that look?"
Dawson enjoyed competing in skeet competitions through middle school. He would then go on to follow other passions of his through high school and into his mid-twenties, until finally finding his way back to his true passions and talents in the firearms community. In 2019 Dawson, started practicing with pistol, from dry fire to live fire, he has spent countless hours bettering himself every single day. In 2023 he started competing in USPSA competitions and has won a majority of his matches.
Today, Dawson still holds his goal of having one of the fastest draws in the west except, he'd like to have one of the fastest draws in the world, and he is making that goal become a reality with an impressive draw time of .38 with a A-zone hit.
Dawson enjoys serving others and his community by teaching self-defense and firearms training classes. He believes that everyone should be primed and ready to protect their household, family, and community.
People often make comments to Dawson on how "You don't need to be this fast. You don't need to be this prepared.. Nobody is coming for you"
However, Dawson, and his wife, Bailey, would disagree. Bailey was robbed at gun point years ago while working at a cell phone store in a really small town in the middle of no where. No one ever truly knows when and where there is a threat.
Primed Defender's goal is to help others be prepared for if/when that moment comes.
